The Sailing Academy has partnered with Planet Hope Land and Sea (a youth sailing and adventure organization) to provide sailing camps and courses for young people on the Beach at Herrington Harbour South.

Youth Sailing
Ages 8-13

5 Day Sailing Camp (Monday-Friday; 10am-3pm)
On The Beach at Herrington Harbour South


Prerequisites: None
Ages: 8-13

 

A week of fun activities and games on the beach and in the water makes this our most popular youth camp! Young people learn how to sail on 14′ dinghies. Camps cover water safety, capsize recovery, rigging, terminology, and basic sailing skills in a fun and exciting atmosphere.

CAPS (Coach Assistant Program)13-15

5 Day Sailing Camp (Monday-Friday; 10am-3pm)
On The Beach at Herrington Harbour South


Ages: 13-15

 

CAPS teens will have a leadership role at Sailing Camp, advanced training and opportunities to sail performance boats such as catamarans and spinnaker boats.

 

Pre-requisites:

  1. Must have previously attended camp at least one week in previous years.

  2. Approval from Head Counselor

  3. Attend Caps Training on June 18-19, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM each day.
